Files, shown like they matter.

A trove is a folder with a face: one link that presents your photos, documents, videos, and files as a page worth looking at. Private for clients. Public for the world. Embedded on your own site.

Use Cases

Which one are you?

Five real workflows, from first upload to final delivery.

The photographer

Shoot it. Edit it. Send one link.

Cull and process in your own software like always — then upload the finals to a trove and send the client a single link. They open it on any device, browse full-size previews, and download their selects or the whole shoot as one ZIP. Code-protected, expiring when you say, your logo on the page.

The contractor

The quote that sells the job.

Photograph the site, pull inspiration shots from the web or from the client, and arrange all of it on a trovesheet — a clean, visual quote on one page, behind one code-protected link. Save the sheet as a template and the next bid takes minutes, not an evening.

The study group

One trove, every name on it.

One classmate starts the trove and invites the group. Everyone grabs the readings and data they need, adds their own finds, and writes their part of the project — every upload credited to its @handle, no Final_v3_REAL_final(1).docx, nothing lost in the group chat.

The researcher

Every source in reach. Every draft on file.

Pull the papers, graphs and datasets that matter into one trove, then draft against them — as many passes as the paper needs. The sheet keeps its last ten revisions, the trove keeps every source at hand, and the finished link never expires.

The online creator

The whole product, one link.

Product photos, the demo video, the instruction manual, assembly steps and the brochure — one trove holds the entire offering. Embed it on your shop page and it updates itself; list it in FileTrove's gallery and shoppers find you there too.

Sharing

One link. Your rules.

A trove is private until you say otherwise — and "otherwise" comes in three strengths. Same trove, three doors, change your mind any time.

  • PrivateThe default. A workspace only you can open.
  • Shared by linkAccess code · expiry date · your logo on the page.
  • PublicScreened, tagged and searchable in the gallery, on your @handle.

Trovesheets

A website, without building a website.

Write the page in the editor, drop your troves into it, publish. The files stay live inside it — update the trove and the page follows.

  • No hosting, no plugins, nothing to patch
  • Readers browse the embedded files in place
  • Save any sheet as a reusable template

Embedding

Your site. Our shelves.

One line of script puts a live window of any trove on any page you own — a portfolio, a gallery, a set of downloads.

Always Current
Add files to the trove and every page it’s embedded on updates by itself — no re-uploading, no plugins.
Downloads Built In
Visitors can browse, open the full gallery, or grab everything as a ZIP without leaving your page.
You Stay in Control
Grid or strip, any size, optional auto-scroll — and you can lock the widget to your own domains. Included with Share More and Pro.
The entire embed code:
<script src="https://filetrove.app/embed.js"
  data-trove="neuroscience-and-the-brain-c49503b668"
  async></script>

…and this is it running live — a real trove. Click it:

Strip mode makes it a gliding banner — also the real widget, trove title and @handle included (hover to pause):

<script src="https://filetrove.app/embed.js"
  data-trove="a-fancy-wedding" data-mode="strip"
  data-height="170" data-autoscroll="1" async></script>

F.A.Q.

Frequently asked questions.

You create a trove — a visual collection — and put files in it: photos, video, PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, anything. The trove gets one stable link. Keep it private, share the link (with an optional access code and expiration), or publish it to the public gallery under your @handle.

Yes — every trove stores its files on FileTrove, and your plan sets how much total space you have. But a trove is more than storage: it presents the files as a browsable page instead of a download list.

Your files are encrypted at rest and in transit — storage, database, and backups (AES-256, TLS). Troves are private by default, and shared troves can require an access code and expiration date. You choose exactly what, if anything, becomes public.

A home for complete collections: visual previews, one always-current link per trove, sharing controls, a public gallery and profile, and live embeds for your own website. Any device with a web browser works — phones, tablets, computers.

Yes — invite collaborators by email or @handle from Manage Troves. They can add, caption and arrange files; ownership, publishing and sharing controls stay with you, and every contribution is credited to its @handle. Free accounts include 5 collaborators per trove; paid plans have no limit.

Yes, we do. Email support is currently the most immediate form of support we offer.
